A brow lift is a surgical procedure aimed at rejuvenating the upper facial region, particularly the area above the eyes. This surgical intervention is designed to correct sagging eyebrows, as well as address horizontal lines and creases that contribute to an expression of anger, sadness, or fatigue. It is effective for individuals of various age groups, including those who have developed furrows or frown lines due to stress or muscle-related activities. Even people with hereditary conditions such as a low or heavy brow, or deep lines above the nose, can benefit from this procedure to achieve a more alert and revitalized appearance.
This procedure involves the alteration or removal of muscles and tissues responsible for the furrowing or drooping of the forehead. This results in a smoother forehead, elevated eyebrows, and a reduction in frown lines.
For a less invasive alternative known as the lateral temporal brow lift, which primarily addresses sagging on the outer edges of the eyebrows, a small incision is discreetly placed within the hairline. This approach can be combined with blepharoplasty (eyelid surgery) or a facelift for a more noticeable transformation. In cases where brow lifting isn’t necessary but hollow or aged areas surround the eyes, options such as fillers or fat injections can be employed to restore fullness and regain a youthful contour.
